If you're looking for old doors to match the original style of your house it's definitely worth trying to find second-hand doors that have been salvaged from demolition sites, or have been replaced when large old houses have been converted for other uses.

Reclaimed building material suppliers and architectural salvage companies often have stocks of internal doors, and even external doors, though these are rarer as the weather takes its toll on them.

Stripped pine stockists are also a good place to look, though be sure to check that the joints of dip-stripped doors have not been weakened by the stripping process.
